I work as a Promotions Producer with the Creative Services Department
at a top-rated, NBC-affiliated, television station in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
I was promoted to this position after working as a Digital Content Producer.
Before that, I worked as the Marketing Media Coordinator for Old Dominion University's Auxiliary Services Marketing Department. Additionally, I served in the US Navy, have a law enforcement background, worked in radio, and at NASA for four semesters.
Though this may all sound like an odd combination, I have a continued, relentless search to fulfill my curiosity about life. I believe we must maximize the time we are here, while we are here.
I'm not sure what I'll pursue my master's in. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from ODU, and have three associate's degrees.
I received my certificate in broadcasting from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Boston, MA. There I learned valuable skills in audio/video production, radio, television, and sports broadcasting.
I’m a freelance photographer, writer, editor, and videographer for small businesses and as a hobby. I help small business owners with writing/editing press releases, sponsorship packages, community outreach emails and letters, and social media and website content before public release.
I have experience as a contributing writer for Old Dominion University’s Mace & Crown student news magazine where I reported on stories around campus, interviewed students and faculty, and provided photos to go along with the articles to meet deadlines.
I love playing the drums, music, fitness, health, surfing, history, and math.
